So, today is clean out the fridge day. It needs to be done, but I also want to get some of my veggies for snacking pre-cut and in baggies. This way they are easy to access during the day. It will be simpler to eat well, than to find junk food. The family is going to eat the same meat and veggies that I am going to eat, but I will make a noodle side dish for them. They enjoy noodles, but I cannot eat them. Since I have celiac's disease eating regular pasta makes me ill. My stomach gets all crampy, I feel heavy and out of sorts ...and it completely screws up my digestive system. In other words, it's just not worth it to eat gluten. If I made them mashed potatoes, that would be harder for me to pass up. I like them and there is no bad reaction (other than my expanding belly) to eating them. So, the family is going to have to do with smashed taters for awhile. I don't think it will kill them.
