I was just thinking about people who are pretty judgey about flexible dieting. They have never really struggled with being really overweight. It isn't as easy for us to eat "clean" as it is for them. We can maintain it for a while but then end up binging rinse and repeat until we give up. I did that for 10+ years. Flexible dieting isn't for everyone. Some of us have to do it to stay on track. If daily "unhealthy" foods keep us on track to getting to or maintaining a healthy weight, I'd say it is essential and preferable to the vicious cycle of yo-yoing.

Yes! If you never been overweight/obese you have no idea of the struggle it is to be able to do the flexible diet.

Cb there is a huge difference between someone that takes their time to learn portion control and someone who avoids “bad foods”. with portion control you eat that piece of cake 🍰 when you avoid “bad foods” you eat the cake 🎂

Yeah, you can't really lump us all together because flexible dieters make those foods part of their diet in moderation and for strict dieters it's a moment of weakness or a cheat meal. Something they feel guilty about. It could derail them momentarily or cause stress. It's not like a keto dieter wants to kick themselves out of ketosis once a day on purpose.

When the keto dieter eats a piece of chocolate, they end up eating everything they can cause they gonna make the slip worth it

Yeah the bottom line is we can all do whatever we want since it's our choice, but someone will give you a hard time no matter what. It's probably for lack of education or they just think they know what's best for everyone. I don't really see many people on here giving flack about flexible dieting since Keith is absent 😂 of course the pictures of cheetos and pizza will always get attention and you guys know it will.

“ I already messed up the day so whatever” type mentality

Actually I truly think we get the “hardest time “ by all dieters that don’t understand that we have overeating tendencies and that all we have to do is 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 eat less 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁

If I lift I have more food options...if I swim....the same....if I climb a mountain I need to train like Keith. So...lifting and 500 yards in the water it is! Now, give me some dat gum food!

The simple act of chewing is such a pleasure 🥰

It’s a mental thing, and I will always live with this cross...it’s who I am. But I can control it, if I want to do so

And anyone with this issue can also decide to take control💪🏼

Eating healthier is never easy for anyone. We all have things that we would love to pig out on (I’m thinking my Mexican Firey Chocolate Pie) but I have practiced hard for years to learn not to do that because it is important to me. I don’t see this as just being a problem for the obese. It is a problem for diabetics and dialysis patients who can’t have anything that has potassium in it, and for many other people who have or should be following restrictive dietary guidelines just to stay alive. We all struggle. I have seen a dialysis patient who committed suicide by eating a bunch of potatoes and bananas— he had a cardiac arrest before he finished the last banana. Now that is a dietary restriction with consequences.

Flexible eating up here!! 🇨🇦😜 I don’t even use the word diet. It’s my normal life. Eat what I want, when I want, just not ‘as much’ as I want 😂😂

Flexible dieting is what has kept me from binging so far. Telling me I "can't" have or do something just stokes the fire.

And again, I repeat, I owe it to you Rosio. 🥰 All you’ve said and posted since I’ve been here in fs has been completely practiced and understood. To me, it’s the best way. I’m losing and had my dr tell me yesterday I have the best blood work I’ve had in three years and there’s not one thing to improve on. Hearing that was better than any pound lost or any muscle gained cause for me it’s about my physical health, life and future, not compliments, looks or being right!!!!! Love you gurl!!! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
