Well, I fell off the diet wagon as soon as I realized that I would need to make even more changes to my diet. Approximately one week later and possibly a legit two pounds gained later, I am reigning in the horses! I've realized that I'm one of those people that needs to transition into a lifestyle change. So, back to Atkins, which was working for my weight loss, with a few modifications that will eventually get me back to the AIP diet.
Today, I go full force on to Atkins. Only food exceptions are eggs and coffee. I know that I do not tolerate them right now. Eggs make my face get extremely dry and coffee makes me extremely irritable. As soon as I go through my withdrawals from carbs, I will remove cheese, followed by my favorite dressing, ranch. I have to increase my vegetable intake and remove the diet coke. That is a priority along with healing supplements to try to at least slow down the damage to my gut while I get my life under control again.
So my goals this week. #1 Return to Atkins #2 Remove Eggs and Coffee #3 Increase Veggies and Water #4 Take Supplements #5 Remove Diet Coke
That's a whole lot of goals for one week. If I succeed with the first and second goal, I will have considered this week a success.
Chasing that wagon, gotta get back on!
