So I'm kinda new on here. I've been working out for the past 3 weeks and havent seen any results or loss in weight, not even 1pound. I was getting upset with the results so and almost quit trying but my husband convinced me to try watching my calorie intake as well as working out before i completely stop. so here it goes. i downloaded this app and now I'm gonna try to do better at watching my calorie and working out.

I rode my bike to and from work for four months, got a syanding work station and started wearing a pedometer to boost my activity level. Despite being sore and tired, and getting more physically fit, I lost NO WEIGHT. Nit until I added counting calories. I found I significantly out-ate my potential benefits from exercising. Still enjoying feeling stronger and more fit, also enjoying much needed weight loss.

I definitely recommend writing down everything you put in your mouth it really makes a difference. It’s the only way that I’ve been able to be successful. I have found That if I have to write it down I am much less likely to eat mindlessly or just pop something in my mouth while I’m cooking or feeding the kids. This is not easy. What you are trying to do is hard work. Work to find that sweet spot as far as calories go. I know I need to stay between 15-1700 calories per day and get out and move at least 4 - 5 days per week to loose my normal pound to a pound and a half per week. At that number I don’t feel like I am starving and I am less likely to binge.

Thanks guys! That helps a lot knowing that you guys had similar experiences and that this helped. I'll keep trying and record everything I eat.

I would recommend measuring yourself too. The scale can be misleading because it doesn’t change the way we think it should, and we get discouraged. Measure yourself and re-measure in a month. If you keep exercising and watching your calories, you’ll see a difference in the numbers even if you don’t see a big difference on the scale. Stick with it!!!!

just from my experience which is obviously mine and not necessarily anyone elses. my body does weird crap. I think the initial shock of working out leaves it dumbfounded and Confused. then one day it says holy crap I'm starving and begins eating all the fat stores. in other words there's a spring effect with me anyway. I workout then one day all the measurements and numbers catch up. the scale is not always a good tool. I use the mirror and how I feel to compliment the scale numbers. just a thought. takes me a month sometimes to see movement.

Cianna, this site has been what finally gave me the way to get my weight under control, after decades of no success. Seeing in print what I'm eating has made me more mindful and has made choices much easier. I don't obsess about food or what my weight is doing now. I've had ups and then significant downs, but it's a steady downward trend, with no feeling deprived. With the site making it so easy to see the nutritional stats on all the foods. My endocrinologist (Hashimoto's) suggested Trulicity and reluctantly I added it to my short list of meds. FS and Trulicity were the two keys I personally needed.

I'm going to be presumptuous and go with you've already run yourself through the medical obstacle course to find out if the weight issue(s) are medically related or not. Tape, scale and how your clothes fit. I do measuring on the first day of the month: Bust, Waist, Hips, Thighs, Neck. Might add upper arm(s) in addition to the weight scale. Also, if you are working out enough that you are not only burning fat, but building muscle at the same time, you probably won't see any change of the numbers (unless your scale also has a body fat ratio function) on the scale, but you will with the tape.

Counting calories WORKS! FS app is a good one, and you can add your favorite recipes to it for a good calorie break down. Best of luck!!!

Counting calories works. You'd be surprised at all the calories you're actually eating. I've came to the realization that at some point I'm gonna have to give up pop/soda. Not today though. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

You can do tbis. Remember muscle weighs a lot more than fat. Go with his your clothes are fitting and other non scale victories

I am right there with you, it is a sucky feeling but keep going. Maybe switch up your workout/or calorie count? Best of luck to you, don't give up you got this!!

I love my Apple Watch for tracking how many calories I burn in a day too. You can use this app to track your activity. It always estimated high for me so I just used sleeping and resting for the whole day. I didn’t see much loss until I started tracking and weighing every bite I took and calculating my calorie expenditure.

Sorry but one other thing after I checked your numbers it's harder to lose a little. When I had 50 extra pounds the first 40 came off super fast the last 10 and now this last 5% body fat is a bugger. That's been a few months to get off.
