Hi everyone!
Finally got a bump up in ketones. Last night my blood sugar was low enough that I didn't take insulin before bed. Still took my metformin though. Today I'm fasting 24 hours - breakfast to breakfast.
I am reading the Diabetes Code by Dr. Jason Fung. Very informative, technical at times, humorous, interesting. He is a huge proponent of intermittent fasting and I use his Guide to Intermittent Fasting as my fasting bible.

Great that you are seeing ketones. I think when diabetic it can be hard to get to the ketone producing point. Yeah Fung is interesting and very enthusiastic. I liked his book as well. I really learned the importance of not not snacking from it.

Thanks liv and br_e_co. Yes I have to be patient. I am eating correctly and fasting but I have metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance so the sugar keeps coming out of my system. Amazing what we can do to ourselves. :(
