Binged again. Can’t control it for some reason. It’s been getting real bad real fast.

did you try giving yourself a "cheat day" ? You can give yourself a day per week when you can eat whatever you're craving for (in a reasonable amount to not ruin your progress) and be binge free the rest of the week! :) But if you fail it's ok, It's normal to fail to control big cravings sometimes! Stay kind to yourself and remember that you've make so much more than those "failures" in your weight loss journey! :)

It's happens when your calorie restricting. Just roll with it until you get back on top. Personally i just eat whatever, just less of it, and under the limit I've set for myself.

Sometimes I binge if I don’t get enough protein or whole grains. Especially if Ive been mountain biking or something. Can of tuna mashed with half an avocado or some mayo, a cup of brown rice. No guilt. Go to bed and feel like a champ the next day.

Lol, if I binge it's cause the whole pizza is in front of me and it tastes good. About all a shrink could do about that is take a shit on it.

Anyway, when I was seriously restricting I'd binge because as soon as I'd taste the cake or whatever it would blow my wheels off. All the sugar, or carbs, or fat were not something I'd see on a daily basis anymore. Our bodies are programmed to go after that stuff, so it's no wonder that if we go off it for a while that we can't control ourselves when we go back it at again. Work around it, learn what sets it off, and limit the portions if you snack on a treat. This happens to everyone at some point, I had 3 days myself where I just could not stop eating carbs. I'm sure some dietitian on here can explain it better, but it's common. Push through it.

Here’s a tip that I’ve learnt. Don’t restrict yourself entirely for your favourite foods. Having half a chocolate bar every once in a while is a good treat! Whenever you feel you crave it the most would be a good time to have a little. I probably have Pad Thai every week or two but I still lose weight and stay under my calories. The day when I know I’m gonna treat myself, I have less calories and more protein during the day and get my treat in the evening.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I’ve also read that it’s important to switch your thinking from black and white to gray. Instead of I can’t have this, I now try to think, oh I get to have this. Some advice for anyone else struggling!
