Not going well - I can't believe how much I've eaten today and how many calories are in a sandwich!! It's a wake-up call though, by using the food diary it's amazing to see how quickly you can notch up calories. Going to re-focus and make some changes! Any tips?

When I look at your food a couple of things pop out....First of all stop eating prepared and/or pkg food! They are a killer! And juices and fruits have tons of calories and carbs....I try to stay pretty strict with whole foods as much as possible.....if you are on the go all the time...plan ahead, prepare foods where you can, portion thing out prior. I am far from perfect but feel free to look at what I have done the last 3 days. Its pretty much what I do the whole way through for the most part. drink 96 oz water every day and go to bed earlier. Logging your food in is sooo important...I write mine in a little notebook so I have to look at it all day....then when I have time I put it on this site....Stay away from starches! If you HAVE to have bread...buy the 50 calorie a slice bread or go to the freezer part of the grocery store and get Ezekial Bread...and don't eat it every day...I get my carbs from veggies...not starches...it make a big difference. Don't beat yourself up sweetie...refocus and just do it :) I hope this helps a little :) Keep me posted on how you're doing!

I don't know your age...but we are close with numbers....I am 5'10", 180 lbs on my home scale and my goal weight is 155lbs....so I have 25 lbs I want off. :) I am in a bootcampm to try to get it off in 12 weeks...I have done the bootcamp 3 times before and it is great...and very successful...just need to keep it off this time when I get there :)I have my eye on my goals and plan to achieve them by spring!!!!~

Consider this... TWENTY-TWO cups of lettuce or mixed salad = 2 slices of bread!!!!! Also Pickles are ZERO calories! Other good snacks: 5calorie jello, plain air-popped popcorn, and red grapefruit. Anyhow these are the things on my list. Hope you find what works best for you!

also, lean proteins are much less calorie dense than carbs and fats. Try to keep your diet up around 40-50% protein and the calories will stay low. My current numbers won't read this way because I already reached my goal and now on a bulk, but a 50% protein, 20% (complex) carbs, 30% (healthy) fat split worked for me.

Ooops... I didnt read the full label... 2 slices of bread=110 calories. Therefore I change my last comment to 11 cups of lettuce= 2 slices of bread. Still a big difference :)
