Keidrake Günlüğü, 13 May 21

Late journal today. Been a busy busy morning at my house. Had one kid throw up this morning. -_- Not really sick sick. But her stomach felt wonky and drank a glass of milk before getting here. She's perfectly fine now. but ugh. What a way to start the day. One of my other kids really wants to do virtual school and come back to my house next school semester, but had to text her dad about it. And since her parents have a 50/50 custody agreement, her dad will make her come to his house for 4 weeks every other month if she stays in virtual even though he's gone for 12hrs at work during the time she needs help with school and her grades drop a grade level everytime she goes there. I've been helping her with damage control with her grades each time she gets back from her dads. So she's going to go back to regular school to avoid going to her dads every other month. But she's a motivated and smart student. If she did flex with me my oldest kid, she would be graduating highschool in 3years. She burns through her work here, and just occasionally has issues with math, civics, or Spanish. Frustrates me to see her struggling like this.

Ankle update, it's better today and tolerating some weight. But not fully healed by any stretch. Going to take it easy the rest of the week and keep the thing elevated as much as possible. I'm more motivated today than yesterday and have made the decision to stay off the scale until I can walk on my foot/ankle normally. I now spend my mornings glaring at my ankle instead of my scale. I'm all about substitution, not sure glaring at my ankle instead of my scale is a "healthier" substitution...but yeah. least some of my humor came back. heh.

Plans for the day: No binging. Eating moderately. Goal currently is below 2000 calories for the day. Easy right? Also stay under 2000 steps. >.> That is taking it easy in Mom terms.
