Day 1; At least on here. The beginning? Oh that was about 2 weeks ago now. One Sunday sitting at the table of my parents house, and my sister commenting that I didn't look too good. Upon consideration, I replied that I had been feeling pretty tired all the time, esp. after I eat. The following week at work, the tiredness continued, along with sensations of numbness and tingling in my feet. At first it was only after I had eaten, but then it progressed to all the time, with occasional pin pricks of...pain? Not sure how to describe it. I'm thinking neuropathy! Start monitoring my glucose. Looks OK. Definitely not Diabetic, yet, possibly pre-diabetic. Start looking for other causes, nothing really seems to fit. A dark malaise slips over me. I am depressed and a bit scared. Visit the doctor. He has no idea, has a bunch of labs drawn. Will be back to visit him on the 28th. Get the results of the labs. I'm betting pre-diabetes, with a side bet on anemia. GO ANEMIA!!!!!! Whatever the case, my lifestyle was unsustainable, and leading to disaster anyway. Smoking, drinking daily, over-eating shit food daily, BMI morbid, no exercise whatsoever (LOL its gotta be at least prediabetes). I haven't smoked in a few days, which is amazing, haven't had a drink in a couple of weeks, changed what I eat and the amounts for the same amount of time, and begun to exercise everyday for the last week. The effects so far? I still feel like shit all the time but, my mood has improved. Been laughing here and there. :) Feet still buzzing. :( I joined this to keep track of caloric intake, but it seems to have some other features as well. We shall see how it goes.
