One of the latest food experiments: wheat berry sprouts. Totally hooked on them. So far, I've been making salads with them, but I'm curious if anyone else eats them in other ways. Any ideas on how else to use these?

CharlieLovesChaplin I'm not sure how to describe the taste. A bit nutty and chewy combined with a bit of fresh, grassy flavor like an alfalfa sprout.

I occasionally use just the sprout part and put it in some sushi. My backyard chickens LOVE sprouted legumes/grains, so it's more of a treat for them, with the left over I have from the sushi! :)

You can put them or any other sprouted grain in your bread dough if you make your own.

I like to lightly toast them in the oven then run through my wheat grinder to mix in with anything I'm making that uses flour.
You can also put them in a food processor or blender to chop them up raw to add to bread or pancakes.

My favorite sprouts are sunflower seeds. Make sure they are raw and you may not need them to have shells.
