Had a great workout last night. Did 90 minutes of cardio on the elliptical...but...Feet are killinggggggg me today. This happens everytime I start an exercise program. It feels as if the bones along the top of my feet are broken when i walk. Ibuprofen is helping a little. I don't want to stop what I'm doing at the gym so I hope this gets better with time. Feeling a bit down today. :(

Did you just start doing the elliptical? Maybe 90 minutes is too much to start out with. I understand, because I always want to jump in full force, but maybe your feet muscles are strained from the sudden jump and new movement of the elliptical. Hope you feel better soon!

Agreed. 90 min is a really long time for cardio period. If you just have to do it, maybe switch up between machines so your feet don't take such a beating. Have you tried water aerobics? That would give your feet a break too.

WAY too much cardio. Try half that and use the other half of the time to lift weights. :) 1,000 calories isn't going to sustain that amount of exercise. It really isn't sustainable even if you aren't exercising.

Thank you all for the advice. I'm going to cut my cardio time down and and increase weight training. Water aerobics sounds like a great idea, unfortunately my gym doesn't have a pool. There is something about seeing the "calories burned" number on the elliptical that makes me try to go as long as I can. I know i should increase my calories as well. I have been having such a difficult time with it. I'm feeling kind of lost. Hope I get it together soon. Thanks again for the advice everyone. :)

Just a note-- at below 1600, I stop losing (of course, right now I'm not losing anyway, but in the past I mean). You might lose even more if you up your calories--try to eat more dinner, and maybe remove some "diet" products like light or sugarfree things with their normal counterparts. It seems silly since you're dieting, but if you need more calories anyway, you should enjoy your food. "Normal" foods also often have much fewer chemicals and other weird stuff that could freak your body out. Good luck!
