Good for you - I do believe that maintaining your "Healthy" food plan and thereby controlling your own "Hard earned" loss achievement is a major goal in itself - to take it to a higher level .... as in ... regardless of the location or the event. A good visit with family should not cause a month of recouping your own hard work. You are an inspiration!

I've had a lot of luck with vacations and traveling, mostly due to increased sight-seeing on foot for exercise and not eating most of what's on the dining table. I talk with my hands a lot, and treat meals like a social hour, rather than an eating hour. Definitely turn down every dessert. No one notices or cares -- they're just concerned about their own stomachs.

It was good to go, but good to get back home, too. I had a wonderful time. In some ways, I was doing better diet-wise down there. I have some work stress going on, and I've been hitting the chocolate to cope a bit much!
