I had said Monday I would stick with shakes during the day to not have to deal with wanting to snack after I get the first bite of the day. Well, I was invited to lunch today and it was time to be social. You see, my weight affects so many areas of my life including my interaction with others and my job. When I am overweight and not eating right I do not feel good about me and do not care to be around people. That is really not a good thing with the type of work I do. So I went to lunch, had a tossed salad with grilled chicken and veggies along with a splash of vinaigrette dressing. I do not at all feel guilty and that might have actually been a good thing to stop thinking about food. I feel full and only ate half of the salad. I think I was able to log all of my food relatively accurately without measuring it all. Just a realization for me that I completely shut life down when I do not feel good about me which is more motivation to never go back to bad habits again. Now to focus on getting my water in the rest of the day.
