Two days off in a row. I was hoping to start putting my garden in but the weather doesn't look like its going to cooperate. I have plenty of other things to do but if I don't get that garden in soon, there won't be much point in doing one this year.
We have a calf down this morning. Jeff thinks its going to die but I gave it electrolytes and have it covered up in the shed with warm blankets and heating pads. I just can't NOT do something. I guess the cow has mastitis and is being treated but now the poor calf suffers. If I can make it through the day with it, I know someone that will take her and bottle feed her. Say a little prayer. I know its only a calf but I just can't let her go...
My weight is holding steady at 207# for the last 3 days. I thought I would go up a little bit this morning because I ate ham for dinner last night but by the grace of God, I've stayed the same.
Tomorrow is family birthday celebration after church. It should be fun. There are several May birthdays here so a group celebration is the only way to go.
Loving my new job! Everyone is so friendly and lots to do so I know I won't be bored. God is good. I sure thought I stumbled into this but I am sure its His hand that put me there. And with perfect timing. Why am I surprised?
