I got some ketostix and apparently I am in the dark pink/ purple, not quite the darkest. So... I must be doing it right, yeah?

The blahs during my runs turned out to be low sodium from losing all those fluids. I had some broth and salted my veggies and it helped tremendously. Thanks to the buddy who mentioned it.

Glad you are getting things worked out. When you mentioned ketostix I went and did a search on them. I found this page you should check out with some info about using the stix. Basically it boils down to: The longer you are on a low carb diet the less accurate the stixes are. So if you use them and they start showing less ketones don't freak. i really just wanted to see where I am, now I am sure I will forget about them lol. Thanks though I will check that out

My understanding with ketostix is that if they show purple at all you are in ketosis. The darkness of the color is simply a matter of how well-hydrated you are. If you drink a ton of water the color will get really pale but you are still in ketosis. I have a type 1 diabetic child so I have lots of experience with ketostix :-) By the way I've continued to be in ketosis - and slowly lose weight - for over two years now and haven't seen any difference in how the ketostix work. Congratulations on being in ketosis!!!
