Just had a B12 test done, as I suspect a deficiency is my current problem. My endocrine doctor told me to take the B-100 every other day about 2 years ago. I could not pull this off and kept forgetting. I am autistic and need routines for everything. Started with headaches and fatigue, then last month shortness of breath. Thought about this and realized I might have a vitamin deficiency. I am at high risk for B12 deficiency because I am lacto-ovo vegetarian and gluten free. I am also lactose intolerant, so I do not get much dairy products and I only eat egg whites, which will not give me B12. So it is a must that I supplement it. Will likely find out tomorrow or Wednesday.
Will be talking to a GI doc about getting tested for Celiac disease to address the gluten problems. However, won't be doing a gluten challenge until next summer when I am off again. Do not want to be sick while I am in classes.
