Haven’t had time to listen to it all. But totally agree with the parts I heard. He’s very knowledgeable considering back when where they had no internet and you have to find information through books and goto libraries!

Huh interestingly enough I never look at my percentage but it seems 53 30 17 for me. That’s pretty close without even trying, just dialing in to what works for me

Definitely would like more carbs, as it definitely would boost my workout but this is the best I could do on cutting cals

I've been making an effort to eat more fats adding in some PB more eggs and stuff like that. If I don't concisely pay attention to my fats they end up dropping to almost nothing. I could eat carbs and protein all day and be happy minus my body not working right because of it.

Listened to both. Interesting. Part 2 gave me a better understanding of macros for creating lean mass. Thanks for posting these!

Yea I recently read a study on cholesterols, maybe I’ll post some screenshots. But they stated that cholesterol is the precursor to steroidal hormones. What your body does is it converts fats to cholesterol as needed then use the cholesterols to produce the hormones, but if you eat enough cholesterol would you still need that much fat?? Since it’s recommended for proper hormone lvls.

True, too few fats bring a cascade of problems. Carbs are the preferred fuel for strength building.

But at the same time 15% is the lowest fat I can go without feeling like I’m eating punishment 🤣

Just listened into it a bit more and damn, I’m just running into these myself. About over bulking and overtraining. I just learned that at the end of this bulk. Where I’m intaking too much nutrition for my current lvl. Where you could intake as much carbs as you want but it’s gonna stop helping past a certain point until your muscular lvls up to require it then it could put more carbs to use. Same with protein. You could eat as much as you want but you will only build a certain amount of muscle. You should intake as much as needed to where you feel you recover good. And as your muscles grow you’ll intake more carbs which will boost your workout further and will require more protein to build n recover. It’s all gradual increases and if you just increase all at once you’re just getting fat as he said

Ok I just listened in more about the muscle = strength part. Him talking about a smaller guy that’s able to lift more than someone bigger. He said it’s cuz everyone’s different, I think he might’ve missed the technique also. If both lifts the same way MOST of the time the bigger more muscular guy will be able to lift more. The smaller guy can compensate by momentum, tendon rebound strength and technique to try n overcome the bigger guy that used brute force sorta speak. I’m a fan of this guy

I also think some people just have better leverages even if they both have great technique. I was watching a video where a dude named Anatoly, idk if it's his real name was deadlifting the same weight as Larry Wheels at half his bodyweight. And Larry is known as a huge powerlifter. Then you have females who can deadlift more than you or I at 150 pounds. But on average, yes, a bigger person should be stronger.

People are posting all kinds of interesting interviews of his as well. Again, I wish I knew of him back in the day. I probably would have if it were not for the politics of bodybuilding. He should have beaten Arnold at the '80 Olympia but they couldn't have a returning champion lose. I would have heard of his books instead we get the overtraining bodybuilding encyclopedia from Arnold haha.
