Just restarting, or trying to. 🙂 I’m around 315 pounds. Working with a therapist to address my goals for now and the future. Used to run half marathons. Yay - loved that! Want to do it again within the next 2 years. Am retiring next year from 29 years in Education (Distance Learning area). I’m so mentally ready for a change. I know I eat for comfort since I’m a bit burned out. Love Education - I’m just ready to reshape my life after the loss of cornerstone loved ones and I really want to rediscover my creative self. 😀

yet limits can hinder the ability to explore. Emotional eating: I always recommend the workbook "The Glow Approach by Dr Lyn Shroyer" it's helped me identify why I emotionally eat and binge. Therapy: IF! big if, you have trauma of any kind, expore EMDR with your therapist to allow it to heal in your body. Personally, Its helped my emotions and self-limiting beliefs. Calories and how many to eat can be confusing. Lots of people say FatSecrets calorie recommendation are too high.. My biggest thing I can recommend is googling "fitwizard.com weight loss calculator" save this website! select your activity level and how much you wanna lose within your time frame for weighing in. if you weigh in 1x a week or 1x a month, recheck your calories by your new weighin and keep updating your calories in your calorie tracker. If you aren't losing and staying at/below calories, then it could be your macros. Personally, I lost weight much slower with high fat, so experiment with this knowledge as you will until you have a system that works you! it's daunting to lose weight healthily, and you have a whole team here to back you up!!

I started at 400 lbs. I'm at 170 now. It's been a road. There's not one magic fix-it. My advice is pick one life-style change a week for the first month. And commit! After that month, you will have 4 good habits and know you have it. AND now you are ready to dive into your program! I've done this 4 times. It works for me to get my head in the game. You got this!
