Happy labor day oceanlady!!! 

Hope you had a good day! I don’t celebrate most holidays except Christmas, Halloween, Veterans Day, and Memorial Day. Mostly cultural as I’m Cherokee (I look like my other roots). Grew up with my half Cherokee grandfather and My full great-grandmother. She didn’t really say much on any holiday. I’ve always disliked my Scandinavian/Scots/Irish/Welsh/Balkans .heritage. I wanted black hair, black eyes, and darker skin like my Grandmoo. She taught me a lot mostly patience and humility. Have a gorgeous day! 🌞🌻 

Oh I'm so sorry oceanlady I didn't mean to offend your heritage, I have Irish in me also on my Daddy's side and my great grandmother was full Cherokee Indian when she died she was 106 years old. 

No way you offended me my friend. I just like to share. I grew up with my great grandmother and she was full. She lived to 96. A truly great woman. I live my life as Cherokee and identify with that. I get a lot of ignorance saying you aren’t, but I know. That’s all that matters. You are a lovely lady avd I’m not easily offended by much. I’m pretty zen most of the time. No worries ever. I just don’t celebrate a lot of holidays. Personal preference. It doesn’t bother me that others enjoy them except Thanksgiving. That’s a National Day of Mourning for many Natives. Most Eastern Cherokee do celebrate it. Each to their own. I am happy for you if you are happy. That’s my world view. Just love one another! 💖🤗🌈🌻
