just my thoughts journaling. i hate this time of year due to the focus on food, one's desire to "enjoy" the season which means eating garbage all they want. then talking everyday about the intention to change it all on Jan 1. it's the same pattern every year and it makes me upset.

the wave of new gym members and then they all disappear in a few weeks.

then, when they decide they can't do diet or exercise, they deflect the shame back onto us that are living on our plans. comments like "life is short you have to enjoy it" or making us feel we don't love/accept ourselves cuz we're commited keeping as fit and healthy as we can.

it's backwards and passive agressive. i'm working this plan hard and commiting to it even harder because of how much i DO love myself. i'm not using "loving myself" as an excuse to not be accountable with my health choices. i don't eat junk during the holidays and that's ok.
