writingwyo Günlüğü, 25 Ağu 24

Almost embarrassed to post this one. This week was a total loss for a number of reasons: boredom overeating while camping, a special occasion meal with a friend, and poor sleep. Yesterday, decided to go cold turkey on caffeine to try to address the sleep issues. It was painful, but feeling much better this morning. Also didn't exercise much and missed workouts. Ready to do better this week.

SheltieMom -- be grateful you didn't get the withdrawal problem! I envy you. I actually had cut back in recent months. Began measuring consumption in mugs, not pots 🤣

Diana - I guess I should be grateful I sleep until 1:30, then! 😂 After two days, I am seeing absolutely no difference whatsoever, where in the past I would sleep the sleep of the dead when I gave it up. Maybe too short a trial, but I fixed myself some real coffee this morning. I'll try the exercise of some sort after dinner thing. Something to get me away from the TV. It's almost a Pavlovian thing -- I start watching TV and I fall asleep, even if it's only 7 p.m.

I'm thankful I sleep pretty well. I do semi-wake up during the night but usually fall back asleep easily. I'd hate to give up my morning coffee. I drink 2 large mugs. I don't drink other caffienated beverages but sometimes have a little chocolate for dessert.

writingwyo -- Oh I am very grateful. I thought for sure I was going to have trouble. I also quit instant iced tea at the same time, so I was really cutting back on everything that wasn't water! I never thought I would make it past a week, but I did.
