Well, there's the rebound from the fast. That's quite acceptable. I got waylaid last night at 2 AM after not being able to get to sleep by two slices of toast, butter, and an ounce of cheese. Cest la guerre. I like these. It's not about winning or getting your way; it's about growing and gaining strength. Even in times when you fail, you are not a failure if you have gained either personal growth or strength. Hmm. Fingers aren't working that well after 4 hours sleep.

Judgment at Nuremberg is excellent. Generally, I agree. Churchill was a man for his time borne of circumstance. That's who most great men are. Men carried by the circumstance of the day. Right man at the right time. Of course there are others such as Hitler; the wrong man carried by circumstance to catastrophoc results. I do not ascribe to the idea that any man is perfect, and in my experience, government intervention in almost anything, while the main focus may be good, has unintended consequences sometimes worse as a side effect than the cure of the main problem was to begin with. I truly appreciate your view and am so glad I have claimed you as a buddy.
