Good Sunday morning to everyone. I hope everyone has a great day. I have a question for anyone who will answer. I am noticing that i am gaining muscle in my arms and legs but i have the "female" flab on my upper arms and inner thighs. As i am toning up will that get tighter and less of or will it be there forever?

:) Now isn't that the question on all of our lips these days!!! We hope so Tina, I'm still waiting for my skin to catch up with the rest of my shrinkage. I have waited till now to begin my toning and strengthening workouts so the process is just beginning for me, unlike you, I waited till I had lost a considerable amount of weight before I started. My goal was to get my weight down and recover some of my health before I worried about anything else. Misty seems to be right where we want to be :) maybe she has more tips!

Maybe she will comment when she reads the post. Right now mine isnt too bad but i dont want it to get worse

Yes you do :P, if it gets worse it's because you are dropping fat like it's yesterdays news! LOL and that is never something to complain about!

Probably just an adjustment of exercise to target certain areas, lol as you know I am no exercise guru, but just an educated guess

It depends on a number of factors unfortunately. Your age, the older you are, the less likely your skin is to bounce back so to speak, also how fast you lose weight. If you lose weight really fast, your skin tends to hang. If it's more gradual with a muscle building regime, then you will be less likely to have that dreaded skin hang. My best advice is to keep working on toning and a little muscle building like crazy and hope for the best, also, keep hydrated.

this is a great questions. I have that belly "apron" and its bc Ive lost ALOT of weight.. same on the thighs. I can say from experience, the legs and thighs get better if you lift weight. DO squats and lunges. I dont put enough energy into my abs so I cant say , i can see the muscles there, but that ab flab is super stubborn ... and prolly wont go away of you are really heavy bc your skin was literally "stretched" out when you gained the weight.. but if your not, then yes it will..

It may not tighten. Agree with Phataly. If you are dropping weight super fast and/or a lot of it there are just going to be lose bits unfortunately.

I read someplace (don't remember where, sorry) that it can take up to a year for stretched skin to "bounce back." I'm sure a lot depends on the amount and increased muscle tone will obviously have some affect. I'm afraid there is no magic answer, but if anyone finds one, I'd like to know too!
