Musings...So, in regards to rice, Nature shows me the way. Short, round grains of rice make me short and round. Long, slender grains, make me long and slender. This week, I've eaten Pad Thai (with rice noodles) and Jasmine rice with several meals. My weight has remained stable. But what's more important is that *FOR ME* it hasn't affected ketosis or appetite control. Tonight, I came off a 30 hour fast with no hunger, after Pad Thai yesterday. For me, no hunger=ketogenic state. Granted, I am holding steady on weight at around 50 +/- grams of carbs per day. Not losing, but feeling satisfied and happy. I'm seeing almost daily changes in my body: new veins showing on my arms, wrinkles on the belly, loss of jowls on my face. Not all are 'attractive', but signs of overall health and reduction of subcutaneous fat, as well as visceral fat. Co-workers and clients are still commenting on how 'skinny' I'm looking, and some are beginning to say I'm getting 'too skinny'. For now, I'm keeping to low carb...that is under 50 net grams per day. I'm also avoiding wheat, because I know it leads to inflammation in *MY* body. If/when I get to goal weight, I'm learning what works for me and what doesn't. Have a great weekend, FS buddies.
