Set the scale to start at -5kg :D :) As long as you not going from 55kg to 60kg you are still doing well

shame girl I really feel for you , the little you have too lose the harder it gets, i think you need to maybe focus on other stuff like the way your clothes fit and so on.
I'm again stuck between 60 and 58.5kgs and my goal for now is 55kgs , it feels the scale doesn't want to move down , but my clothes somehow fit much better. I'm taking a scale break this week as that thing can de motivate a person

What if... you are supposed to weigh 55kg? I was so hung up on getting from 85 to 80 that I nearly hurt myself. I was breaking down muscle in an attempt to weigh something I'm not supposed to.

I know exactly how you feel. I am battling to get to 55 my weight keeps going up and down like a rollercoaster that has gotten stuck lol. I am now focusing on my fat loss and muscle gain and not worrying about what the scale says.

Saige18 . . i've also decided to take a scale break and maybe do the whole measurements thingy rather. scale and weight is depressing and doesnt take into consideration muscle mass and blah blah blah

What I do currently to get from 8% BF down to 5% is calorie cycling. I make sure I hit a daily average per week of 2300 cals but I have 3 days of low cals(2000), 3 days of medium cals(2280) and then saturday is refeed day of (3300). It works like a charm. Unfortunatly the leaner you get, the more your leptin and T3 hormones will drop when restricting cals, so you need to trick your hormones to get down further. Thats what the refeed day does.
But thats just what I personally do.

Bornmah would Carb cycling also help?

in the end it basically boils down to the same thing. the whole point of having a refeed day is to raise leptin and T3 levels and only carbs effect those. So even if you follow a low carb diet(which I do not do personally) your refeed day will still consist of a large amount of carbs. On my own refeed days I hit 550g of carbs. For low carb dieters that might be a mental challenge but at low levels of bodyfat its the only way I have found that actually works

Eat frequently according to your height - weight -and train double -- your muscle will stay in tack and you will not sag and get a better body . its all in the determination , dont skip meals its stupid -- your body will hold on to the fat more --and youll never reach your target -- just do some insanity work outs and burn it bby

I have to agree with ThreeOh8 and he is a Doctor so I trust him. Other than being lighter on your feet and being able to run faster or move quicker in your chosen sport would being that 5kg really make that much difference to your life in terms of look and feel. Its quite possible that your body is at a happy weight. I think sometimes as women we can get hung up on the NUMBER to our detriment...If its that hard to hit a certain weight..how much harder is it going to be to maintain it...week after week...month after month etc... I hope you can find a happy place for peace of mind and good health...this morning we heard of somebody who had passed away. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 6 weeks ago...and he was not even that old...Life is so short...we just need to embrace our bodies and good health every day. Strength to you.

its very easy to check your bmi through some easy apps nowadays so im sure its easy to figure out what is too high or too low for every individual .

BMI is just a guide and in my opinion not realistic. It does not take body fat percentage and muscle mass into consideration. A classic example... Two women stand side by side... Both of them weigh 69kg. The one on the left has been active her whole life and is very toned. She looks much lighter. The one on the right is a couch potato and what we call "pap" she is flabby, with big thighs, stomach and behind. Yet on the scale the weight is the same. Don't be mislead by "magical" numbers.
