Today I did a little analysis of my weight loss since using body media.

My total deficit for the period (using FS for the calorie intake and BM for the calorie expenditure) has been:85596 which compared to 8 kg weight loss would make about 11100 kcal deficit per kg.
This is higher than the 7000 deficit that is theoretically needed to shed a kg, but when accounting for BM aproximation of 10% (their estimate) the actual deficit would go down to just 61477 and therefore the deficit to loose a kg to just 7688 which is quite close to the theoretical figure.

If this figure will be confirmed in the future it looks like BM for my profile of activities overestimate calorie burn by 10%, it is surprising if the error is the same for all that they cannot reduce it by changing the algorithm but maybe that varies depending on the activity profile
