Fathers Day. I started off eating hard boiled eggs, while everyone around was enjoying my favorite PANCAKES!!! But I did not think to even have one. Then we went to a family BBQ for husbands family- there was absolutely NOTHING I can eat (hot dogs, sausage, burgers etc) I ended up eating 2 slices of tomatos. We finally went to my family BBQ and I was able to eat Shrimp (lemon, parsley, basil, red onion) and some grilled chicken.

Today made me realize ALOT- it is nice to socialize and spend time with family and at all these gatherings there is FOOD and DESSERT and lots of them. I would usually eat and eat and eat. Today I enjoyed myself and realized its not about the FOOD its about the TIME spent together. Even if there was nothing I would still have a great time. I made mistakes in the past- if there was 10 different dishes I would try all of them and eat constantly throughout the gathering and dessert- eat it and try a little of this and a little of that- but today I survived a HOLIDAY in my eyes.
