So...for myself, I got what I would consider some exciting news today. Just something to look forward to. For the longest time now, I have been wearing a size 18 jeans but last year for christmas, my mom gave me a gift card to Bealls. UGH! My husband wouldnt take the gift card and whenever I went to look for clothes, I could not find any clothes that fit. Finally I went to this one shelf and found a size 18 jeans...little did I know, these were in the misses/juniors department and not the "womens" or "plus size" department. BUT, they fit. That was after I had lost my first 40 lbs. Today, I went to look at jeans because I really want to buy a new pair to make myself feel good. My husband was with me. I picked up a pair of size 16 off of the "misses" shelf and figured that I would be laughing at myself whenever I tried to put them on. Boy was I wrong. THEY FIT! A pair of size 16 misses FIT ME, nicely. But, I decided that since they fit me that I wouldnt spend the money right now because I'm still head strong on losing weight and I feel like a size 16 will be too big in a short period of time. I told my husband to look at where that shelf was...it was under the juniors sign. He looked at me and said, "You mean, you didnt have to try on clothes out of the plus size? WOW! I'm so happy for you, you are doing really good." I'm still at 206, after the recent slap in the face of buying a new scale and finding out that my old scale was wrong. BUT, I hope after this week that I will see some more progress. My legs are starting to hurt :(
