My Name is Rebecca & I'm pretty easy going about anything & everything - always have a smile on my face and try to always be happy -even when I'm having a really bad day!
I have been slightly overweight my whole life- I was the preteen/teen that ate as healthy as I could & watched my portion sizes with the sisters who ate anything they wanted & still wore size 4 & 6's.
I started to basically starve myself my senior year of high school & still only managed to get down to 160 lbs & a size 10/12. Once I got married & started having kids is when I really started to just let myself go. I just stopped caring about my weight until October 2005 when we took a big family vacation to Disney World & couldn't fit on some of the rides..I was 270 lbs & a size 20/22.
I was tired of being the 'cute fat chick'.Then my BFF, Amie, asked me to be her Matron of Honor in her wedding & the dress I had to wear was candy apple red. I had 5 months to lose whatever I could. So for the first time ever, I joined a gym. And worked out. Everyday. By June 2006 I was down to 229 lbs & a size 16.
By December 2006 I was 210 pounds & a size 14. Then some crazy suff happened in my life & I kinda fell off the wagon so to speak, stopped working out, stopped eating right & stopped caring. The result- by April 2009, I was back up to 229 again!
I had to really refocus, reprioritize my life & get myself on the right tract in every aspest of my life - I could NOT let myself go & gain all that weight back that I tried so hard to get off!
So I buckled down & started going back to the gym & watching everything I put in my mouth.... I'm now a size 10 but would like to be a size 8 at whatever weight gets me there..My wonderful trainer has encouraged me to throw out my scale (which I won't)& focus only on size & not weight because muscle weighs more then fat & I'll always weigh more but I would still like to get down to 165/170
I am also so excited to be taking A NUTRITION Class in Sept.
