Day FOUR! I am on a roll. I just need to get thru today and then tomorrow I can get some groceries. I want to drink several more glasses of water and some exercise would be nice too. I so hope to be at least 55 pounds gone by the second week of January. Time to go see what kind of damage I have done by eating pomegranets.

I'm doing great! I went to a Happy Hour yesterday and I stayed within my range. I have been on target for 2 plus days!
I just had the most delicious snack. I pan seared/fried in butter, a chicken liver and 1 TBL spoon of chopped onion, then I smashed it with a dab of mayo and served it on a low carb tortilla. It was less then 5 net carbs I am sure.
I am going out with Dale tonight. It is the Stick and that is not a very carb friendly place. BUT, if I just drink chardonay and order a salad or a bunless burger, I can survive.
I am off to drink a lake full of water!

I am so happy that the Holidays are behind me. There were just too many temptations. It probably was not wise choosing baking as our gift giving. I am not going to get on the scale until the first day of my next period. I will have then skipped exactly 2 months of weigh ins. I would not be surprised if I have gained back 20 pounds. For the sake of my mental response, I am going to give myself the next 2 weeks of induction. I began this yesterday.
Remember Cara, this is your life, not your diet. Some people are alergic to peanuts and some to refined carbs. We eat what we can to live.

I have been afraid to get on the scale for the last 2 weeks. I have felt that I was self sabotaging due to having hit my 50 pound/halfway mark. I felt that I was letting carbs slip in through the back door. A beer here and there, sharing a few french fries, an occasional piece of bread. Imagine my surprise and joy when I FORCED myself to get on the scale and deal squarely with reality, only to discover that I have lost 7 pounds! (57 total so far!) It appears that what I considered sabotage and failure was in reality my body successfully being able to burn a few more carbs then I had been allowing myself. Oh the JOY!
