This morning when I woke up, I just wanted to crawl right back into bed. But my back and hips were groaning, so up I got. I didn't feel like doing a dang thing this morning. So instead of plopping down in the chair with my book, I grabbed my keys.

I took yesterday to kind of recover from the week. This morning, I finally made it into the gym. Boy what a workout. I am still unable to do long periods, however I firmly believe that even a little is a huge accomplishment.
I only did a mile on the treadmill. However, I did five reps of increasing weight on the crunch machine. I also did the rower for double what I normally do. When I got on the scale, wow, I'm getting there.

My back still bothers me from the week, and I really need to figure something out. The lifting, standing, bending is wearing me out. I went from a deli manager who was literally on the move for 8 hours to standing. Yea, not a good trade off physically.

My stress is definitely less than it was. And I had the accident which put a damper on things. My mindset hasn't been in the right place really either. I have a lot of things to figure out, and figure out how to get done. Really need to get my headspace back. But seeing 200.3 on the scale really gave me a mental boost today that I needed.

Last couple of days, I really haven't been hungry. Had a small breakfast and a chef salad for lunch. Filled me up. Copped a sweet tooth and grabbed four ropes of my favorite twizzlers.

I did get a few things done today. But my personal laundry is still sitting in the van. Figure I will bring it up after going to the gym in the morning and fold it while I watch college football tomorrow.

This week took it out of me. Spent three days in my back support. Doing the laundry of the college kids can be a little much. We did 507 pounds in two days. That is a lot of lifting, bending, standing and folding. About 350 pounds is what I handled personally. My boss/friend is going to have to realize that it is to much for one person to do. I get it, he has business bills to pay. But it is going to put a serious hurting on me if he doesn't allow the other kid to come in and help me more. He doesn't come down and help because he has leg issues and cant stand for periods of time. Something is going to have to give. We got a call from a contract today for a rush order. Yep, you guessed it, I went and got it and handled it while my clothes were in the dryer. Do not get me wrong y'all. He is a nice guy. And was lied to by the previous owners about the situation of the laundromat. But he is going to have to wake up sooner rather than later. He can not physically do it himself that doesn't mean burn me out in the process.

I got a call today from a place I had put in an application with a month ago. They did a video interview because I couldn't make it to the station in the timeframe. They offered me a sweet deal. But I turned it down because of the commitment I made for the college contract. My word is my bond, and I can not break that. If I get hired, I will be working the weekends too. It will be interesting to say the least. But I will at least know I will have enough to have all of my bills paid each month. And puts my foot in the door for the summer when the college contract isn't there. Rob seems a little upset about it, but some of his Fruedian slips of late tell a different story. I should know Monday or Tuesday. If all goes well, I will have a shot at promotions and they are building a new station closer to home which will need a crew. It is with a local fuel company. No overnights, two on crew at all times. No late nights on weekends.

He wants me to go with them tomorrow for a motorcycle ride. I just am not up for it. I have my own stuff to do. I have been on the go all week, I need a couple days to slow down and take care of me before doing it all over again.

Anywho, sorry for the ramble y'all. Hope everyone has a wonderful evening.

I walked with my friend's Mom this morning. There is a park near me and the circle is just over a mile. We had a nice time. Wasn't to hot, the dogs enjoyed it. Since I am driving tomorrow, we have set a potential date for Friday Morning. I deliver to the university tomorrow, so going to try getting in the gym for a little bit in the morning before I leave out. Standing in a small space and sitting long hours makes my legs and feet swell. Hoping getting in the gym before I leave out will help with that.

We were talking about her son on our walk. He is a heavier man. And they spent six months down south over the winter. He lost a lot of weight because they were walking a lot, eating better, etc. Since they have been home this last spring, he has put it all back on and then some. I have asked him to walk, come to the gym with me, etc to no avail. She told me this morning she has asked too. I really like him, he is a great person. It bothers me that he makes so many excuses to not even get up and walk. His favorite is "I'm hurting". I wake up hurting, so does Mom. It is getting concerning to both of us. But we both decided this morning, that all we can do is ask him to join us. If he doesn't it is on him. Hard as that is going to be, it is all I can do. I really care about him, and watching him deteriorate to worse condition than pre winter trip really bothers me. He told me last evening he doesn't know how I do what I do at the laundromat. I told him, Im stubborn, it needs doing so it gets done. It hurts and I have a mat, and do what I can to support my back and all. Walking this morning helped loosen things up. I am hoping that him seeing me and his Mom being able to stay mobile might get him moving. One can only hope.

Someone told me a long time ago that it all starts with standing up. I didn't realize until these last couple years just how true that is.
