I felt the same as you by the end of last year. I decided to go back to basics and just count calories. My tdee was 1800 calories but I decided to stick to 1500 a day alternating with 1200 days. I’ve lost more weight in the last three weeks than I did with three months of Banting!

That is the ONLY thing that works for me too Sabre; COUNTING CALORIES! I think it is more likely that you can sustain by counting calories. You are still allowed treats, being your deficit stays the same. YOU decide what you are going to eat and how you are going to utilize your calories. It is much less restrictive.

Yup Coco, I always thought counting calories didn’t work and I tried every fad diet out there. Discovered calorie counting didn’t work before cux I wasn’t doing it correctly - ie counting everything down to oils an weighing food as it’s a lot more accurate! So glad I did more research and tried it again though!

I started my journey with forever living C9, nine day detox program, then I discovered FatSecret to follow through, because it’s easy to put back the weight of you don’t have a plan. I don’t like indoor gyms so I opted for outdoor gym and hiking 🥾 at least 2 or 3 times a week, FatSecret said to achieve my desired weight I was to eat 1600 calories I ate mostly less than a thousand because with C9 I was eating 1000 calories a day for 9 days . Don’t despair, keep going

Herbalife. I started 6 years ago and never looked back. It's not a diet though. It's a lifestyle change. Contact me if you'd like some help :)

Don't lose hope. Just keep going. Even when you are not seeing results, something is happening. Your body is learning

If you've tried everything else I would say why not get yourself a kitchen scale and use this app as it was intended - as a calorie tracker - and record everything you eat and get into a calorie deficit that is manageable and sustainable for you. You don't have to crash diet and try to be below 1200 calories - I have lost weight consistently with a daily average of 1680 calories and you can use things like calorie cycling to allow yourself some indulgences along the way to make it liveable. I'm interested to hear what the health and wellness coach advised.

@Manthis, I've heard about C9. It's just sooo expensive

Thanks everyone, guess I'll also just start by going back to basics. I generally try eat 1200 calories per day.

So I've been thinking. I'll give it ome more month on my own with calorie counting and if no improvement then go see a health and wellness coach. She's so damn expensive

I don't know if this will help you but my grandad lost a buttload of weight on this, I've started it today. So it's rather boring but very effective and healthy. 2 boiled eggs in the morning, half a can of tuna and as much salad as your heart desires for lunch and then a lean meat and veggies for supper. You can then have 2 fruits a day, go for the healthier options, snack on nuts and biltong, all in moderation. Id go with about 100g biltong and 50g nuts and preferably not peanuts as they aren't really healthy.

Have you had a full thyroid function test. Ie: T3, T3RU, T4, and TSH. I had endless problems until I was eventually diagnosed with Graves’ disease which is a pretty serious condition. Now I have no thyroid and losing weight is very difficult, but doable. Please have yours checked, it could save your life and your sanity 😉

I tried everything and nothing worked until I tried vegan. weight came off easily and it was fun. not saying its what you must do, just saying what worked for me

@Clare SP, I recently had all that done. And apparently all is normal.

Losing weight isn't easy, especially after the age of 30🤦‍♀️ Don't be too hard on yourself, you are beautiful. As for the 0.2kg up, your body weight, especially as a woman fluctuates quite a bit and 200g is nothing to worry about. ❤️

Hi Michelle, I've tried everything like you but I've realized (like others have said in the comments) that it all boils down to being in a caloric deficit. I'm using this app to track. All the best.
