I am learning to trust myself again, to trust myself to stick to what I commit to. It is still baby steps, but many years of "try and fail" dieting has left its scars.

I have not eaten bread for almost a week. That was my first commitment, and I have been sticking to it. I still eat rice crackers and Cruskits, but not bread. I feel better for it but the weight isn't exactly falling off me. I found out I have liver problems, from a blood test, so maybe that is why it's not so cut and dried for me. The liver has to do with glycogen storage, and rather than release energy to me, it has been storing fat. Not cool!

One other good thing I have been doing is having lemon juice, apple cider vinegar (organic) and agave nectar (instead of honey) first thing in the morning, hoping to help my liver. I have always had hypoglycemia, so I need to eat often and eat protein. But I have to watch my portions.

I am writing this today as another part of my commitment to myself. I apologise to my body for indulging in a lot of self-sabotage lately. I have done 15 minutes on the exercise vibration machine every day, as I committed to, BUT I have been hungry in the afternoon and when my son or daughter bring things home like cakes I have given into the temptation and spoiled all my hard work (temporarily). I need to be more responsible and tell myself that I am worth it and I WILL see results this time.

I just joined the Challenge: Lose 20lbs by Christmas. That's 9.9 kgs.
I will be over the moon if I can achieve this loss by Christmas. I need to be able to see the finish line (or in my case the half way mark) and as the weather gets warmer I am sure I can do this. I love that there will be specific goals for each section. I usually take on too much and give up when I don't see results straight away. Not this time though. I am in for the whole challenge and see what happens. I plan for it to be a FABULOUS CHRISTMAS!
