This is my first post, which is kinda scary. I'm tired of feeling Ike I'm trying to lose weight alone. I used to be a relatively healthy girl sitting at 150 but mostly muscle. I lost my dream of going into the navy due to an injury, and it threw me down a spiral of eating and depression. I'm finally trying to pull myself out of it. I want to lose every pound I gained and more - hopefully, I can continue to by using these posts to hold me accountable.

Welcome. I think the 2 best things about FS is the positive support and the calorie counter. You can do this Katie!!! Sometimes one door closes, so another can open. It just takes time to find the open door.

Don't think about the number as much as what your body is able to do for you. I was at my most healthy at 200lbs. Keep your eyes on the balance between fat and muscle, and getting the nutrients to keep your engine running 💪💪 Go get it!

My philosophy is that this is a lifestyle change, not a diet. The goal should be to not just lose weight for the prom or a vacation, but for life. That means developing a way of eating that you can enjoy and live with. Deprivation does not work. Mastering portion control and moderation does, along with regular activity and that does not mean spending your life in a gym.
