So. Another weight gain from an unofficial weigh-in on Wednesday (142.8). Since I am a numbers person, this is my equation that explains the gain:
Hot temperatures over past few days (high 20s) + high-sodium day yesterday = water retention = weight gain. I'm pretty sure early-onset perimenopause enters in there somewhere but I haven't quite figured that part out yet.
I don't feel heavier, but I know there is fluid retention because my feet, ankles and hands are swollen. I know I shouldn't complain about the heat given that July was the coldest on record for us, but I don't do well in heat. Hopefully we'll get a break this week.
