I can so identify with this!!! I am also 45 and it seems each year just gets harder to lose weight. I gave up my smoking addiction 7 years ago , but sadly replaced it with food addiction. I gained 27kgs. I tried every diet and would lose weight but then I'd binge eat particularly on carbs and junk food. My weight was like a Yo-yo and the more weight I'd put on the more depressed I would get, the more I would eat. I started calorie counting on the 16th of July 2017 and with the help of my doctor & the right mind set, I have lost 14,6kgs. I could not have done this on my own. I still have a way to go, but my head is right. Thanks also to a very honest person who in the nicest way possible told me that I should not let myself go and that I had become really "bloated". Each person will have their own breaking point at which time they will decide enough is enough. Hang in there, you will go it!!! 🤗
