Not sure why I am stuck. I think this is the Second week in a row I'm at 231. I have been doing well on the diet and have been maintaing 20 carbs or less with a few exceptions. I am drinking my water 96 + ounces a day. No Beer, No Booze. Anybody got a clue?

Just checked out your diet calendar. Everything looks good, the only thing I would change is try to keep your fat higher than your protein. I was having trouble some time back and the people on the atkins website suggested doing this and it has worked wonderfully. They explained to me that the misconception of the diet is that it is high protein. While this is true, its actually supposed to be a high fat diet....fight fat with fat moto...hope this helps :)

Have you noticed your clothes becoming more loose the past two weeks. Sometimes with Low carb you lose the fat and the scale doesn't change for a couple of weeks (this could happen on any diet). If you increase fat intake, make sure it's good fat. Kick up your exercise plan. Mix things up.

I've hit a stall too. In one week I've gone from having dark purple Ketostix readings (the kind that test for ketones in urine) to negative. Also I put on three pounds (water weight). That weight has dropped back off but my ketone levels have not returned. There is a funny thing about weight loss; in general heavier people burn more calories than skinnier people. Think of it this way: If you carried around 25lb dumbbells with you everywhere you would burn a lot more calories than if you didn't. Well, as you start to lose fat your muscles have less and less to carry throughout the day and so they don't need as many calories to keep going. I suspect this might be what's happening in both our cases. We've sort of reached a point of equilibrium. Stalls and plateaus are a normal part of the process unfortunately. So if I were you I wouldn't get discouraged. See it as an opportunity to look back at the progress you've already made. Also you should never be afraid of taking a second look at your diet and exercise. It could be something as simple as eliminating those Atkins bars. It could also be that you need to ramp up your exercise routine (or in my case: start one :-P )
