Uggh! I went out with friends last night and I ended up eating out. I hate that. I know that I will not be able to avoid eating out forever, but it just seems that I am so sensitive to sugar that any hidden sugar breaks me out of ketosis. I had a cheeseburger (I removed the bread) and a diet soda. I think that the cheese may have had sugar, or maybe the soda wasn't "diet," because I feel all bloaty and weird today and I am not in ketosis any more. So frustrating. I was SOOOO good all week and now despite all my work to stay on program all week I am derailed by a night out.

Just hop back on the bandwagon and don't beat yourself up over it. You made good choices. Sometimes cheese is hard cause you never know it it is cheese or the processed stuff. Don't ever hesitate to ask at a restaurant what you are really getting.

Hope you had a great time hanging with your friends last night, thats always fun! Don't feel bad about cheating a little on your diet, it happens to everybody sometime so don't feel discouraged! Just put it behind you and keep your eyes on your goal, you'll be back on track in no time. You can do it!

You did your best....when I started reading your post and the impromptu eating-out situation, I thought you had gone off the wagon intentionally. Like, "I ate a huge order of fries and a slice of cake" LOL!!! You made the best choice you could, so dont feel bad just keep going!!

Life will continue to get in the way as hard as you try! But you did try and that is half of the battle! You are doing so well - about to break through into the 2s that is huge. So keep up the good work. Ketosis is tricky, it seems to depend on the time of day you test. I have found that am is better - before the urine becomes dilute from all the water drinking. We started about the same time - I will start week 6 on Sunday. Still on Induction - becoming somewhat easier. So many good recipes out there too. I am participating in a great forum on Atkins website called ok I need a buddy or something close to that. Lots of great info and ideas for success. Check it out.
