In life there are things we all do that we don't want to do. We go to work everyday, we compromise with our spouses, we wake up instead of sleeping in, etc. There are so many things we do because we NEED to do them and not because you WANT to do them. As I sit here in pain because of exercising for these past 8 days, I realize I do not want to exercise today. I mean are you kidding me? I hurt...no thanks.....

BUT...and this is a big BUTT if you will....I need to exercise. LOL. I need to exercise today on the treadmill at lunch for 30 minutes because I WANT to lose weight. I want to lose a tremendous amount of weight in a year. So, I have to do things that I particularly do not want to. So I will push through, pain and all, and pop a Motrin after I am done and come right back to work like nothing ever happened.

But ask my body, ALOT has happened. Well, I guess my motivation will be the fact that I have lost 12 pounds since starting to walk on the treadmill everyday for 30 minutes last Monday...and today is only Tuesday. I told my body this, and it doesn't care....well, at least not yet. But it will....one of these days soon...it will thank me.

Yes! I am with you. Even though we may not feel like it. We will feel great and accomplished afterwards.

Water... drink water like there is no tomorrow.When you think you have had enough, drink some more. I drink a gallon a day - starting around six am and making sure I am done by three pm. This really, really helps the weight to come off faster - Sandy and I are both witnesses to this fact. You motivate me to go exercise... lookout pain, here I come! (Smile) --Steve

Good for you on the choice to exercise!! Sometimes, it takes more exercise to quiet those cranky sore muscles!!! The pain is only temporary. It Will go away!! Good that you are motivating someone to exercise more too!! See, it gets paid forward!!! You are becoming an exercise and diet role model!!! I'm glad you are my buddy!! I don't get to work out this week until friday, :( so keep it going!!!

Wanted to say thank you again for your journal entry today. When I got home from work this afternoon I did an hour on the treadmill and walked 2 1/2 miles. I feel pretty good about it as well. Thank you :) and I hope your work out today feels as good as mine did.

YAAAA that is great. I worked out too and it was great. Didn't eat as well though but I am about to journal about it.

Well done you. I've had a bit of time out for hols, but have read your comments and am totally motivated. I went out for a run this morning under duress, but once up and running was glad I had. I bet you've lost a load more since you posted this.
