Someone need to rescue these scales because I am about to throw them up against the wall. I have no idea why I decided to step on them this morning. It has to be water gain because there is no and I mean no reason these **** scales should have the same numbers looking back at me. I have noticed my stomach has been sticking out more than usual. So, I am saying it is that 7 pounds of water I gain each month. I know I am right, but then I am like what if my body is really not retaining water right now and I am really still the same weight. I'm such a case!!!Ugh!!!

Well, I do know this I put on a shirt that I purchase for Christmas and could not wear because it was pulling to tight across my mid section. It is too big now and I mean about two sizes too big. :-)Have a pair of jeans I want to get into comfortable by the end of February so I guess I will press onward. I've come to far to turn back now.

Please discuss this gain topic with your doctor. Some medications boost water retention, however not all. Some even lowers your metabolism. Regardless of the reason, consult your doc but always reward your self esteem for being on track with your program. The scale is not the entire truth.

you're going to do good because you are facing the truth with that scale and accepting that scale to help you stay on track. I've been on every diet in the past 25 years and I finally now understand that eating real food that contains real heathly nutrients that your body needs to stay healthy. My problem is sugar, I love sweets. Now I'm looking for new natural ways of satisfying my sweet tooth. When I grocery shop the section I buy most of my food is in the produce, health section and the meat section I look for the leanest meat, then in the dairy I look for the reduced fat, yogurt with probiotic. The bread section I try get the most natural whole grain bread. Read the label, before you eat.

We all fluctuate (even when you do everything right). It's normal. Maybe you had too much sodium yesterday. Drink water and it should correct itself in a few days. Your chart looks great. As long as it has a mostly downward spiral, you are doing fine. Almost no one gets through their weight loss journeys with some gains. Just keep going.

:-) Thanks everyone!! You are all too kind. I am going to stay on track. After considering the cost of the scales I decided to allow them to live a little longer:-). My sister just called and wants to hang out today. So, my spirits are lifted.

I am sure u are doing amazing..I weigh weekly...measure every 2 weeks and do photos monthly

I think if you look at most of the graphs of people in here you will see fluctuations - those times when you think it will be down, but its steady - or worse up a little. So long as your overall trend is going down, and you are following your tried and true strategy everything will be fine. For myself I weigh every day, sometimes twice a day, and the fluctuations are amazing, but generally I only record straight after my 'fast' days, so there is continuity of reporting there. You are doing great, don't let one bad weight upset you, keep going :)
