136! I saw the number finally!! That is 20 lbs since I started this weight loss journey 15 months ago. Now, that is not fast progress really, but it's my journey. I think even more than a number on a scale is seeing the size of clothing drop. In Jan. of 2008 when I started at 156 lbs, I was wearing b/w a size 10-12. Now I'm a size 6, or sometimes an 8. So, this 20 lbs has equaled a 2-3 size loss too. Yippee!! It has taken months just to drop a few pounds b/c 138 seems to be my barrier weight that is very hard to break past. I need to keep the ball rolling now and keep it going in this direction.
What was actually helpful this week I am covering for someone at work this week, so instead of working 2 days I am working all 4. I always lose when I'm at work b/c I bring a controlled amt of healthy food and I don't have the opportunity to snack. I had planned to run this morning with my upcoming 5K this weekend, so I asked if I could go in later today which they are fine with since I am helping them out coming in on a day off anyway. So after I get the kids to school, I will have one more run before Sunday. Update: I just ran 3.1 miles(5K) in 30.25 min. I did add in some slight inclines as the course I will be running is very hilly. My goal for Sunday is to definately be under 35 min, probably be at 33 min, but I would love to be under 30 min. Even at this time I did I was really pushing myself and had a hard time catching my breath. Realistically I don't think I can get below 30 min b/c it is even harder to run outside with cold weather and hills, but I will push myself and do my best! That's all we can ask of ourselves.
