One of the biggest changes I've made is to stop eating white foods (or try to, not always successfull). I have been pre-diabetic for years but was finally graduated to diabetic. Cutting back on white foods has been a challenge. One of the things i have noticed is when I do indulge in breads or pastas I have problems controlling my late night snack cravings. I usually want something sweet! An apple will do most of the time but if there is chocolate candy in the house watch out!
