There is lots of snow here which is making me very discouraged to excercise especially seeing as i slip over everytime i step outside and that my sleeping pattern is all messed up from being super ill all the time grrr!

However all is not lost I am going back home on Saturday where I plan to join the gym close to my house and possibly start attending WW meetings again (or maybe just get the WW at home pack which works out a lot cheaper in the long run) I am also considering getting a wii with wii fit and was wondering what peoples opinion is of this? does it really aid weightloss? let me know peoples :)


also to cheer this journal up a bit I have noticed a few people put 5 things (which i am assuming they are thankful for) on their journals and i have decided to jump on the band wagon and try it myself.

1. Having my Mum behind me (no matter how much she nags)
2. New clothes courtesy of my teeny tiny sister who has taken to buying large clothes and then deciding i can have them woop
3. Having friends who will always tell me i'm not fat but then support me when i really need it.
4. WW cookies yum yum yum
5. snow (it might be cold and slippy but we dont get it often enough)

I'm a Wii Fit skeptic. I just can't rationalize spending money on that when the basic premise is just body weight exercises. It does help in that it gives you a bit of motivation to keep going, tracking your progress, etc., but the actual workouts aren't any different than home workout plans you could find online.

divided yeah that was one of my concerns aswell i had a go on a friends and felt like well i can do this without spending the £250+ i think ill pass

Sounds like your on the right track, good job!! I like your 5 things, very good things to be thankful for, especially #3.

I love WW cookies! And their carrot cake. Yum! A+ Instead of going outside to exercise, maybe you could grab some at home exercise DVDs? For me I always do my pilates DVD at home and I love it on snowy days!

mmm the carrot cake is beautiful!! I have been thinking about getting the 30 day shred or whatever its called thought that could be pretty interesting. also loan on monday so joining the gym tiiime! wooo

I have the same problem with weather. I can handle snow (god knows I've had to run for the bus over ice and snow each and every year), but it's the extreme cold which gets me. Many days here the windchill can be anywhere from -30 to -40 Celcius! Although I did get some exercise DVD's I have to push myself on really cold days to not end up on the couch curled up with a hot drink. I was considering getting a Wii Fit as well, I tried a friend's and loved it. I think I most like the interactive aspect of it. Unlike an exercise DVD, you can keep track of the amount of exercise you do, in addition to your weight. Let us know if you get a Wii!

no chance of getting a wii both my phone and my laptop have died on me so i'm having to spend my student loan on replacing them :( although i am definitely still joining the gym :)

Ah sorry to hear about your things breaking down. Wasn't too long ago I had to survive on student loans myself. I decided to get a Wii this coming weekend. Congrats on joining the gym!
