Oh dear! It all went a bit tits up over the moving days.
On Sunday I deliberately allowed myself a cheat meal as we had packed all the plates, so went out to eat. I just decided not to worry about it and felt sure I would be burning off any extra calories during the removals process!
On Monday (moving day) I had laid in a low-carb meal replacement for breakfast, and I had a slice of crustless quiche in the fridge for my lunch, but at dinner time we ended up having takeout as the kitchen was in a horrible mess. I didn't do as badly as the Sunday, but I still ate a flat bread :(
Thank goodness moving house is a rare occurence! Everything is now back to normal (well, in the kitchen. I've yet to sort out the mess that is the spare room!) I have pushed myself physically quite hard over the last week and have been feeling much higher pain levels as a result. This has meant I've had to take extra pain killers which in turn has upset my digestion, probably accounting for the 1lb weight gain.
I have put myself back on induction so I can get these cravings under control, as I've redeveloped a real lust for bread. Today's my first day back at work and it's a 12-hour shift - I got very little sleep last night thanks to my fella snoring at the level of a nuclear alert siren, and the cat deciding it was time to play. At 3am. I'm going to try letting her out in the garden tonight just so as to try to tire her out and let me get some sleep!

Steps yesterday: 5781.
Much better day yesterday. Walked to the doctor's office and back (and encountered a very adorable kitten on the way!)
A fair amount of packing and cleaning, and then we went to the flicks in the evening. I made sure I ate before we went so I wouldn't be tempted. Good thing since Des had some nachos with salsa AND a medium popcorn!!
I am getting much better at resisting temptation, though. I am in control now, not the cravings. I have to remember though - the addiction is still there, and if I slip up and start eating more starchy foods again, it will be back in full force. Cold turkey is really the only viable method for me - because addicts have no control, we can't say "Oh I'll just have a small slice of cake" and leave it at that. Once we've had a piece, we want to eat the whole goddamn cake in one sitting!

Oh dear! Yesterday went
just a little bit wrong
! I was way over on my net carbs, although thankfully not on my calories. Ketosticks are showing I'm still in ketosis though, and I probably burned off a lot doing the cleaning yesterday. I was certainly sweating by the time I'd finished doing all the windows, and packing some more things in the kitchen.
It's the sun-dried tomatoes that did for me. God, those things are like crack. So sweet and juicy. I will have to finish the pot on a day when I've kept my carbs really low. Today may qualify. I'll have bacon and egg for brekkie.
