my car got broken into this morning, stereo stolen. sigh.
guess it could have been worse... at least i got my walk in before i found out.

does anyone have any thoughts on eating before or after working out? or have any references on where to read up on this subject?
i have been told it's best to eat after working out so that metabolism is high... but i feel like when i eat, i need to move else i feel like the food sits like a brick in my stomach.

no company on my walk other than my trusty ipod. that's okay though. i'm back at my humble abode, feeling like i've already accomplished something for the day.
i'm looking to build a new and improved workout playlist... anyone have suggestions as to what to put on it? i'm pretty much open to anything that makes me want to move.

good morning, campers! haha.
i'm up and at 'em for the morning walk. 2.5miles around the lake in the park. i try to go daily with a friend / neighbor. i wonder if she'll join me today?
thing is: i find it far more enjoyable to walk with her than alone... light conversation helps the time pass more quickly, and keeps me from thinking about life's daily stressors. however, on the opposite side, i'm more proud of myself when i go by myself... it shows me i'm really motivated to do this for no other reason than for me!

hmm. i can't seem to figure out how to enter historical weight information. oh well.
this is my second go at weight watchers in a little over a year's time. it does work... when i track what i eat, attend meetings, and am active regularly.
i'm down a whopping 12.2lbs from where i started a year ago. i've been regularly attending meetings for about four weeks now and am down 5.8lbs in that time. i'm a long ways off from the 60+lbs i need to lose to be "fit."
this week, i had my first gain since having re-started the program. i'll blame my lack of will-power during my birthday weekend. i turned thirty-one sunday (8/23), and needless to say it was a four day celebration that i wasn't celebrating at yesterday's weigh in. up 1.4lbs (sigh) but i knew it was coming. i enjoyed everything from unlimited beverages to pizza to corned beef hash, pancakes, and eggs to fried chicken. that said, i think it could have been worse.
anyway, i'm new to fatsecret. i stumbled across the site when looking up nutrional information on a food item, and thought it might be worth it to sign up for an account.
so feel free to say hi, ask questions, or give recommendations. shoot, i can use all of the inspiration, motivation, and encouragement i can get these days.
