The scale may not have changed much...but my body surely has! I am back fitting into my size 12 jeans and skirts. I had put these items away for about a year and a half. I could barely get the jeans over my hips, let alone zipped!! Believe me, it was a sad day when I went to the thrift store and had to buy some size 18 pants just to feel comfortable! For the most part I had been in 16 and then the 18s, but I REFUSED to go any higher!! I am now in my size 14 slacks with just a little give at the waist and stomach! That is my encouragement to keep going!!

The ups and downs of weight loss!!
Yes, Yes, I know the routine: Don't weigh yourself everyday! But what about once a week...and you STILL don't like the numbers!?
I thought I would be in the low 180s by beginning of week 3, but at my Monday weigh-in, it went UP 2 pounds!! I felt VERY discouraged...though not discouraged enough to quit or CHEAT!! Go me!! I realized that my water intake had been lower AND I didn't take my BP meds (which has a diuretic in it)
I got on the scale this morning, and it read 183!! I will take it!!!

I started South Beach almost 2 weeks ago before I found this site. As of my first week, I was down 5 pounds. My weigh-in for my second week is tomorrow morning. I am praying for another 5! I am hoping to see the low 180s on the scale...wish me luck!! We have a company party on April 18th, so my first goal is be down to 170 by then. To do that, I plan to stay in Phase 1 until then. I heard the cravings were supposed to be gone after the 2 weeks, that was one of the main purposes for the first phase. Um, still could use something baked in the morning! Wouldn't mind some of my favorite chips in the afternoon! When does that go away exactly??? :)
