I wasn't going to weigh this week but my curiosity got the best of me. I'm 4 lbs over what I would ideally like but I'm not freaking out about it like I would have in the past and it is not causing me to feel down on myself. I feel strong and healthy and that is more important than a number on the scale. I ran 2 miles yesterday morning and went for a 16 mile bike ride last night after it cooled off a bit (we had 101 degree heat index yesterday with high humidity and temps in the 90's). My leg muscles have been challenged the past week with a very fast paced bike ride on Saturday trying to keep up with those grad students and additional rides and running - I LOVE THE FEELING OF MUSCLE in my legs! I'm feeling strong and ready for orientation - bring on those new students!

You are doing VERY well! At least you didn't gain three pounds over one weekend. You have a good attitude for this week. I need to finish my project! Life is good!

No freaking out allowed....lol...it's a process Cathy....but you know that as well as I do....Thanks for your comments on my journal today - like you, I know this way of eating IS sustainable......and the pounds WILL come off....!! Have a great day....huggggies
