Tai-Lin Günlüğü, 19 Haz 17

I've been doing pretty well, lately ~ except for yesterday . . .:o( I'm tracking my meals and my exercise in MyFitnessPal (recommended by by doctor, and since i started doing that i find that i feel more accountable. I am surprised that since May 2nd, i have gone from 194.6 to 185.8. I can't do a lot of exercises, because i have a bad back, and right knee that's bone on bone, and i am not wanting to think about surgery right now; so i am using my Wii Fit to do the Basic Step and Free Step exercises. I am also trying to eat less, and better. Most days, despite my best efforts, i have been going over my allotted calories and sodium and sugar intake. Today,i was amazed that i actually had 245 calories i could still have used, and the only thing i went over on was (just slightly) sugar. Yesterday, however, i went a little crazy, and had a hot turkey sandwich and a small salad at a local diner. I also bought an individual slice of cake in Safeway's aisle of horribly tempting treats that i usually ignore. I was so ashamed of myself that i tried to be extra good today, and it looks like it worked. For supper, i had one small piece of microwaved tilapia and a couple of cups of fresh raw spinach from my garden, with the only bad thing being that i dipped my spinach leaves in Brianna's Honey Mustard Dressing (about 2T). However, the weight from yesterday's splurge may yet catch up with me tomorrow, and i will regret it even more. Right now, i am just basking in being in the 180s, rather than i 190s!

Don't be "ashamed" for an indulgence, you're doing well. Life always puts obstacles in our way. Next time try something a little less "bad" like a piece of dark chocolate. Lindt makes very good ones and they are super rich and satisfying.

maeday42, i LOVE dark chocolate! Don't know if i could eat just "a little piece"! :o) But, i know what you mean, and thanks for the encouragement.
