Whoa! What happened there?! A week without running, while still sick, I ran my fastest mile since early December! I also beat my mile time from last week by a whole twenty seconds! Mind you, I wasn't even doing proper breathing technique—it was ALL mouth breathing! I'm so stunned right now it's pathetic, but it felt amazing. I feel amazing. That by itself should be a great motivator.

I wasn't even going to run a mile today because I didn't want to stretch the limits of what I could do, but when my three minute warm up run felt amazing I kept going. I then scratched the bike workout I was going to do so I didn't stretch myself too far (while I feel basically back to normal today I know I'm not completely out of the clear) and just did arms and abs.

I think I'm gonna go back tomorrow sometime, too. Gotta burn off the drinking calories! I hope we go to a place that has sangria...I want sangria...

I've been figuring out the things I have to buy this month that are outside of my normal budget, and it's not going to be pretty. There's a Father's Day present, a birthday present, a birthday dinner, taxes (I'm self employed, so I have to do taxes four times a year), gas to drive home to see my parents, start of my new cell phone plan, tickets for the return from my vacation in August...

The way I see it is that I basically cannot make it through this month unless I really cut corners and/or get this job I interviewed the other day that I felt really good about. One of the biggest corner-cutting is going to come in the form of groceries. I'm not buying any expensive stuff this month. No sweets, cheaper bread, no juice (it has too many calories anyway), switching brands, etc. I guess I can also cut down on how much I eat, too, because that will eventually save money and I'll have less calories in my daily intake. Win/win, really.

My goal for my grocery bill tomorrow is going to be less than $50, cutting my normal grocery run nearly in half. I'm confident I can do it.
